TEDPIX falls 3,175 points in a day

TEHRAN- Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE)’s main index (TEDPIX) lost 3,175 points to stand at 178,819 points on Saturday, IRNA reported.

As reported, Iranian currency, rial, gaining value against dollar and also drop in the global oil prices were the main reasons behind TEDPIX’s fall.

Some 2.44 billion shares worth 7.209 trillion rials (about $171.6 million) were traded through 163,766 deals at TSE on Saturday.

The first market’s index fell 2,394 points while the second market’s index dropped 6,058 points in the same day.

Also, IFX, the main index of Iran's over-the-counter (OTC) market known also as Iran Fara Bourse (IFB), fell 45 points to 1,911 on Saturday when 1.169 billion shares worth 6.82 trillion rials (about $162.3 million) were traded at IFB.
